NW 04s installation using Windows Remote Desktop Assistant

Hi

Can I use Windows Remote Desktop Assistant for installation of NW04s (Portal 7.0) on a Windows Server 2003 (x64)?

SAP recommended earlier not to use the same. But, not aware of any such guidelines now.

I appreciate your views on the same.

Hello Chandu,

So long as all the DVDs etc are local to the server then there should be no problem using the remote desktop connection for the installation. I have used it many times myself without a problem.

I've just installed ECC 6.0 with an ABAP and Java stack using Windows Remote Desktop on a Windows 2003 server.
