what is scheduling agreement is? for what purpose we use?please explain different types of scheduling agreements and configuration part?

I think that you have had the answer to your question. I am trying to get people to keep the forum tidy. If you have what you require could you award you points if you want to and mark your question as answered.

This helps everybody as there are at the moment 48 pages of open questions and if people do not close them the forum will grow and then people like me will not go through all of the pages as it takes too long and some people will not get answers to their questions.

Scheduling Agreement is a type of Outline agreement used by Procurement. Please check the in MM forum for details

Normally oulline agreement can be divided in two types..

1) Contract

2) Scheduling Agreement

In SA u maintain the delivery schedule but in contract its not possible....Its the main difference..

Hi Friend,

Here i am giving some of the scenario in SA.If u want more search in MM Forum...

Scheduling Agreement:

1. The Plant Location must be entered in the Scheduling Agreement.

2. We do not have to create any other purchasing document except for delivery schedule line via Transaction ME38 or MRP running (with the appropriate setting of Source List).

3. Delivery Schedule line items are created subject to your specific requirement.

4. Can create both Scheduling Agreement with and without Release Documentation (subject to the Document Type LP or LPA) with the selection of either FRC or JIT delivery schedule.

5. Either time-dependent or time-independent conditions can be created subject to the customizing in the Document Type of the Scheduling Agreement.

6. Item Category 'M' and 'W' can not be used.

It is possible to generate scheduling agreement for consignment category item.

Following are the prerequisite

1. Maintain price of material for a particular vendor in the info record.

2. maintain info record separately for each vendor

3. Info record with Standard Purchasing organization is must

4. Enter Item category K in PO

5.Material number is must

6. GR is must

7." K " can be used in outline agreement as well as Purchase requisition

8. Even automatic procurement is possible through MRP using a special procurement key in MM ( view - MRP 2)

9. During planning run Purchase requisition is created with K category
