Hi,
Is that anywhere where I can configure the Enterprise Portal to open document?
When you "view source" a KM iview, you can basically see <a href=".../a_document.doc" target=_blank" .. . Is it possible to remove the target=_blank" based on the type of extension, for e.g. "odt", "swx". The idea behind this is to let the frontend application open the file instead of the browser (e.g. IE with the Openoffice activex).
Hi,
You can do this for all office documents.
In Windows Explorer, go to Tools menu -> Folder Options -> File Types.
Search for DOC extension. Click on Advanced and then uncheck "Browse in Same Window" option.
Now if you click any word documents portal, it will be opened using client application (e.g. MS Word).
You can do the same for XLS and PPT files also.
Regards,
Sudip
