Variable issue?

I am working with a variables.Our onsite folks has asked me to make variable as an less than or equal to entry.I know this can be done by right clicking of the variable and then restrict by selecting the variable entry.I have done it.But when I am trying for this variable I am unable to do it.Please help me.

for this u need to create a variable with single value entry..

lets say ur chars is x

now right click the Chars and hit restrict

from SHOW dropdown , select Variable

in new screen create a new variable

give name, technical name

manual input default value, single entry option ,

hit okey

now choose SHOW dropdown and select value ranges

in new screen choose the operator as LESS EQUAL

in below choose the blank page

in new screen go to variable page...

select ur variable which u just created

hit okey

hit okey

hit the -> button

hit okey

save query

execute it

u will be able to enter the value and all values less than equal to that value will be available in query runtime.

Are you getting some error???

I hope you have created a variable as Single and not Interval
