Hi
When i am creating sales order(service item), it is automatically picking up wbs element after saving the sales order.
The number for wbs element is just like sales order, no. It is copying standard project and wbs for this
My question is what is the link between these
where i can see the defaults settings for automatic picking of wbs element

Hi Chidambaram and friends,
This must be as a result of Assembly Order Processing where a Network and a Project are created automatically for every Sales Order Item depending upon the settings.
For this a standard network is required which must be linked to a material (may be a service material). Then with the help of other customising settings, a project is created whose number is derived on the basis of Sales Order number.
If I am wrong, please let me know.

Hi Chindamaram,
I agree with what other experts say.
This scenario is mentioned in detail under Assembly Processing in Project System.
I have recently prepared one doc on this.Send me your mail id. I will forward it to you for better understanding.

Hai Chidambaram,
The link is we have to maintain a Standard WBS in CJ92 and a Standard Network in CN02 ( Display).
Then we need to assign the material to the Std WBS and Std network in CN08.
In materail master there are few settings, Strategy group 83 or 85 in MRP view, Item category group 0005, 0008 etc in the sales view.
These are some important settings for automatic picking of WBS
