trying to build a test framework using Visual basic or C# for driving SAP GUI. All my attempts to do this has failed so far.

In the code, my app fails on step:

application = CreateObject("Sapgui.ScriptingCtrl.1") with an error "The procedure entry point ?GetName@CUiObject@xxxxxxxxxx could not be located in dynamic link library sapfewui.dll

My C# code (with the SAP references included ) also fails with a similar error. Not sure if this is an enterprise security issue or something basic i'm missing. Can anyone help please..

Also if you have any code available(C#, Java, VB) that is currently working which performs GUI automation of SAP screens, would really appreciate your help.

Hello Dilip,

welcome in the SAP Community.

You can find examples how to use SAP GUI Scripting inside Java here.

You can use Scripting Tracker, which supports Java, it generates the scripting code in Java.

Best regards
