hi alka,
Change Request & Transport Request are the same.
Request are broadly of 2 types:
1. Customizing Request: This request is generated if we are doing configuration changes to meet the scenario.
2. Work Bench Request: This are normally development Request or request which are generated during customization such that it impacts all client on the same server.
Hope this is helpful, Do reward.

Hi,
First time when u create an object u will assign toa zpackage and assign one request to it..It is called workbench request or say transport request...Now when the same object is realesd to quality, now if there is any issue , u need to do some changes, then once again u need to do it in development server and now u will change the code, now the new requst will be called as change request..

Hi,
The maintenance of a system landscape is separated into maintenance periods, which are called maintenance cycles. Within a maintenance cycle, all corrections are collected, and imported together at the end of the maintenance cycle.
If you want to import corrections into a production system immediately; that is, before the end of a maintenance period, you have to create an urgent correction. An urgent correction can consist of one or more transport requests.
Whereas a maintenance cycle groups transport requests that belong to one maintenance period, and imports them all simultaneously into the production systems at the end of the period, an urgent correction imports only one (or just a few) transport requests immediately (before the end of a maintenance period). If you need to create an urgent correction, you have to assign it to a specific maintenance cycle. An urgent correction is similar to a maintenance cycle, except that different tasks can be planned.
