Get Hierarchy 3rd level

Hello guru's,

I need to present in a report some rows that must be restricted with a GL account range and with a 3rd level of a cost center hierarchy that is selected in the input variable.

Do you have some idea of how can I do that?

This is quite urgent to finish a report so any help can be very usefull.

Thanks you in advance.

Regards,

Ana

Hello,

At the end I used a user exit variable that reads the hierarchy inserted in the selection screen and as the 3rd level hierarchy nomenclature would be equal for all hierarchies I select for the specific node that I needed and return the node name.

In the query I put the 0costcenter with the hierarchy input variable as a free caracteristic and in the selection for the specific node I restricted the 0costcenter restricted with the exit variable created to return the nodename.

Take a look in this link maybe it can help you:

Hi

I have not done any report in Hierarchy so far...

I think u can see in the PROPERTIES TAB "HIER" ..in which

the level of node.option is available,so u can chek there..

Try it out...Not sure how far I am right..

Just giving my ideas.

Hi,

Thanks for reply.

The problem is that it isn't a fixed hierarchy and that's why I can't select just one node in the query.

Another thing is that I'm not able to create a selection with tha ocostcenter with an hierarchy input variable, is this normal?

Hello,

I'm trying the following idea:

Have a input variable to get the 0costcenter hierarchy and put it in free characteristics, then in the report I created a selection where I associated one user-exit variable to get only the 3rd level of the hierarchy.

Now my difficulty is what to put in the user-exit code to get the 3rd hierarchy level. Please if you have some example post it here because this is quite urgent.
