Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0

Hi all,

We are upgrading our system from 4.6 to ecc 6.0. We are currently doing SPAU activities in the ec system.

Along with many others, there are two nodes in the SPAU :

Maintenance and Transport Objects

Classes

Could any one can help me to know for which kind of objects these nodes are and how we need to deal with the objects under these nodes in SPAU?

Hi Lalit,

I hope we do not deal with Maintenance and Transport Objects. Ask the Customer for that. And Regarding classes, Do the Version Management and check whether there are any changes. Check the class in the Customer Old System and your New Upgraded System and Check whether any modifications have been made in the methods, Any change in the Import and Export and Changing Parameters. Please let me know if you need any further info.

Thanks for the reply.

Could you please share your thoughts about messages as well. As in SPAU I can see a message tab under which there are many message classes ans some message numbers are there.

Most of the messages are in RED COLOR. Please let me know what shall we do with these kind of messages. Can we reset them to ORIGINAL or some analysis needs to be done.

If analysis is needed what kind of analysis/checks we need to perform.
