    hi,

    no it is not possible.

(the assignment is done in tcode OX18, and it is stored in table T001K, where the plant is the key field, which also shows that it is not possible.)

    Hi,

Company code is at the higher level of hirarchy for created for legal reporting of financial data, whereas Plant is an operational area within a company code. hence it is not possible to assaign one plant to multiple company codes.

    Regards

A plant can be assigned to only one company code. This is obvious looking in the perspective of valuation of materials. The value of a material kept in a plant cannot be accounted for 2company codes.

The cardinality between plant and company code is one to one, vice versa(Company code to Plant) is one to many.

    Hi,

In ECC 6.O , i encountered this question from many friends and i have tested and clarified the issue.

If a plant X is assigned to company code ABC, then in the assignment table, the same plant can be assigned to another Company code PQR, but the system will automatically removes the earlier assignment and updates the assignment of Plant X to PQR.

Initially, it appears that system accepts the entry , but while accepting the new entry, it will overwrite the old one.

One plant can be assigned to only one Company code. And this basic rule can never be changed.

    Thanks

    Siva
