Hi we have leave workflow .
As we have maintained following tasks in SWFVISU with respective parameters.
TS12300097
TS12300104
TS12300116
The workflow is working fine through ESS portal but through SAP SBWP it gives information as below:
"The request cannot be started from the Business workplace".
But in portal when manager clicks on workitem for approving the leave of an employee,he can see all the leaves of employees reporting to him and can approve any other employees leave who is not related with the workitem but reporting to respective manager. This is creating an issue in our case.
Can we encorporate this WF from SBWP? or can we avoid to see other reportees leave request in the portal ?.
Removing the parameters from SWFVISU will not work.
Is there any way on this?.

kalpesh
Hi Kalpesh,
Try searching the forum for this. As far as I can remember from previous posts is this the standard behavior for these tasks. Only available from UWL and with the option to release all leave requests.

Hi Kalpesh,
If u see the following class CL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBS in the task TS12300104, there is method called DUMMY . If u try execute it manually that will give u the message & exception stating that " You request cannot be started from the business workplace".Thus u cannot start the workitem from SBWP.

Hi,
Yes you are right.
This Standard task is only suitable for Webdynpro application,
But Do we have anything from SAP standard which tells us that this task is only run from portal UWL and not through SBWP.If you find then please provide the same.
As I found the threads only in SDN regarding this issue.
and client wants the samething from SAP.
I want to show this to client. And SAP replied back this is a conuslting issue. But i will re raise the issue to SAP.

As stated in SAP Note 487649 some Workflow functions cannot be access via the Web and this includes 'leave request'.
