DC from SCA doesnu0092t work but works from EAR, Why?

Hello to all,

Does someone know what could be reason for next issue? I am developing a WebDynpro DC that makes part of an SC. Now, from NWDI I export an SCA and deploy that SCA via SDM on WAS but when I try to check content of my DC in ‘Web Dynpro Content Administrator’ I get next message ‘No resources bundles found from development component ‘test.org/tc~tstest’?

But if I create an EAR from NWDS and if I deploy that EAR via SDM, it works fine.

Any idea? Any suggestion? Am I doing right thing?

Thanks in advance.

Aleksandar

Hi,

Check if the necessary .xlf files are present in the DTR. May be they were missed out. Check if they were ever attached to an activity and checked-in into the DTR and activated.

Hi Rajit,

Thanks for your time, yes those files are attached and they are in DTR under _comp/src/packages/.../views/

Any other idea?

Hi Aleksandar,

The only way to check is the depoled wda file on the server if it really includes the xlf files as it should.

You could also check the DTR tree under CONS, if these files were successfully integrated into CONS (SCA comes from CONS tree).

Thanks,

Hi Rajit,

Your answer was righ into a point. Mentioned fiels weren't integrated into CONS. Now it works fine. Thanks. Only doubt that is left is wda file doesn't contain xlf files but those fiels reside into src.zip file that is under application directory C:\usr\sap\D21\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\test.org\tsagain\webdynpro. Is it normal? Since it works I assume it is ok.

Thanks again.

Hi Aleksandar,

The deployed version comes from DEV where as SCA is from CONS. So you'd find xlfs in src.zip and not the .sca.

Thanks,

Rajit
