I want to link my 2 accounts on SCN.

Hi Team,

I have to create this new Account as I have left my old organization and the email address that I have used is of old company which is <redacted>. But now I have actually forgot my password and hence this account is created as this is my personal account. But the issue is that I have earned good amount of points and gold level and many badges and the other details are linked in my old account. But to prove that both of them is me, I would have to link both my SCN accounts so that I can update my old account or if it is possible to change my email address that will also do. As in that case I shall use the Forget password option and then on my current email <redacted>

the password reset should come.

Any help will be really appreciated.

    Malhar - I don't think this is currently possible, perhaps the SAP Community team can provide an update on this? cc Jerry Janda

    • Thanks for bringing to my attention, Tammy. I'm always happy to see @mention functionality being put to good use. :)
      Malhar: I don't have the latest news on this particular topic. I see that Lucas (below) sent an email to the SSO team. While they reported that no release date for this functionality has been decided, I'm still fairly certain a lot of work is happening around this...as we're well aware of the complaints about the issues for users with multiple accounts.

      So I reached out to some colleagues who are closer to the topic. If there's anything new, I hope we'll have something to share by the end of the week.

    Malhar,

    I believe your original account was a P-user account. If this is the case, it's possible that you can have the email address changed by writing an email to sso@sap.com. (This is not possible for other types of accounts such as S-user accounts.)

    • Hi Vesi,

      Unfortunately, this is not any sort of a wide solution. While there are now some cases where P users can have an email address changed, it is not the same for all P users in every instance, there are numerous dependencies involved. So the only way is for the affected user to try writing an email to sso@sap.com and seeing if theirs is one of the cases where it might work.

      It's not something I plan to write a blog about or post on the profile maintenance page, for those reasons. I hope that makes more sense now.

    This is an old request from a lot of users since some of them used their corporate S nums to access SCN and then moved on to another job..

    Sent an email recently to ssso@sap.com (SAP Support) they replied saying that the functionality (to merge accounts/migrate content) does not have a date to be released.
