SAP BPC 10.1 Embedded: Authorisation issue if a BPC model is assigned to the workbook

Hi All,

We are on SAP BPC 10.1 Embedded; BW 7.4 SP15; CPMBPC 810 SP10; POASBC 100_731 SP06; HANABPC 81- SP10; Analysis for Office 2.3 SP00.

We are facing a strange issue with authorisation. We are able to access an AO report with developer access without any issue. However, we are not able to access the same AO report with end-user credentials especially when the AO workbook has been assigned to an underlying BPC model (under Display->components->planning sub-tab). If the BPC model is not assigned, then we are able to access AO report without any authorisation issue. We need this assignment for work status to work.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? your help is much appreciated.

Hi Surya,

have you maintained a DAP for the environment/model?

If you maintain a DAP with *-authorizations for all dimensions, the result should be just the same as in the case without environment/model setting in the workbook. If you don't maintain a DAP, users will have no access rights at all.
