My Crystal Reports no longer opens reports

I am running Crystal Reports 2013 and am having problems opening up previously saved reports.

When I try and open them the program defaults to design mode view. When I change the view I am prompted to enter values. I can no longer view the report.

Can anyone help?

    Hi Aldo,

If it's discarding saved data it means the data was incomplete to begin with.

It may also have the option to refresh on first.... which will cause it to refresh data.

What was the previous version those reports were saved in?

    Don

    Hi Aldo

Is your data source an Excel spreadsheet?? This may be related to the recent Windows patches KB4041678 and KB 4041681 that "causes applications based on the Microsoft JET Database Engine (Microsoft Access 2007 and older or non-Microsoft applications) to fail when creating or opening Microsoft Excel .xls files."

Using OLEDB drivers will solve your issue.
    Cheers
