Changing the default display version in Stock Overview Screen

Hello SAP Guru’s

Is there a way to default the display version in the stock overview screen (Transaction: MMBE)? I do not want to use a variant.

Currently in SAP, we have a default setting for display version without the use a variant, I want to know where can I change the display version.

Which version of SAP are you in? The answer depends on that since SAP has changed MMBE in ERP 2005.

I am in SAP R/3 4.7. Currently the display version is defauting to 8 which had been created by somebody else earlier and we are not using a variant. I wanted to change this default but do not know how to change it?

if you want the new display version to be cutomized then go to trx OMBG and select display version button there you can change the attribute of your display version or create the new display version.

If you are not using a variant, please check the user's parameters in transaction SU3 or System --> User Profile --> Own Data

Check if parameter VNR is maintained. If yes, remove it and it will default to 1.

Thanks Lakshman but the parameter VNR is not maintained. I am still getting a default display version '8' in screen trxn: MMBE.

Hello Ketan,

'Display version' is mandatory in the selection screen of MMBE. SAP looks for user parameter 'VNR' and if it is not maintained in SU3, then the first version is defaulted. In your case, version '8' may be the first one. If you want specific version as a default, user parameter has to be maintained.

i dont think so there is any kind of display version available in MMBE, it has only one standard display available with dreill down facility
