You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Following are the steps to restart SDM:
1.Open SAP Management console
2.Expand the respective instance and click on Process table.
3.There you will find SDM process right side.
4.Right click on SDM process and press Restart Process
5. It takes few minutes for SDM to restart. As soon as SDM comes up you can be able to login to SDM

Hi ,
I had this issue today of not able to login due to already active session. However based on the forum advise I restarted SDM, this however helped me log back in to SDM. But when I tried to deploy something it was erroring out. I restarted SAP, this helped solve the problem.
However I have not tried the option of disable and enable SDM in JCMON. Not sure if that works.
Please reward points if this has been helpful!
Regards,
Poornima
This error may be caused by concurrent deployments. Once the error appears initially, all subsequent deployment requests return this same error. When we are deploying, NWDS takes control of the SDM and if the SDM is open somewhere or a deployment is already going on, then it throws above mentioned error message.
The best solution is to wait for sometime or restart the SDM.
