Hello,

I have created a page and published. As per the way of SAP, I created a folder for a role and i cant see the External Connectors property. I mean i didt value Auto Populated from KM. This is something related to Publish Site Navigation UI Command.

could you please tell what will be the parameter for the External Connector and how can Auto populate from KM Repository.

Regards,

Gopi

I just figured it out:

Click on the name of your site within Web Page Composer, then click on context menu under Site Navigation folder and choose "Publish Site Navigation". This will create navigation.wpc file inside Site Navigation folder. Then click on context menu of navigation.wpc file and choose Copy Path.

The next step is to paste this info into External Connector field. The thing to make sure though is to have wpcnavigation:// in front of it. The whole link should be something like this:

wpcnavigation:///wpccontent/Sites/DemoSite/Site Navigation/navigation.wpc

Hello,

I am having exactly the same issue. There was one step that I could not figure out on how to do:

"To finish the KM related task concerning portal navigation you need to create a navigation connector by choosing, you might already guess, a specific UI command. In this case it is the Publish Site Navigation UI command. After that all KM related steps are done. Now, let’s have a look at the portal specific tasks."

Does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

you created also your own thread.

Here the [link|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?editmode=true&userid=3691557] to the answer i provided there.

Let's use this thread, if you are facing more problems.

Hello Marcus,

I didt the same what you have explained. I followed the following Steps.

1. Created the Web Page and published(It is in Umlock State).

2. Created the Site Navigation and gave the target for that page.

3. In the Portal Content, I created a role , then folder and for the folder property, i gave the External Connector wpcnavigation:///wpccontent/Sites/News/Site Navigation/navigation.wpc ( Say for ex News is a Site) and Entry Point as Yes.

4. After this i assigned that role to a user(Super Admin).

After doing the above steps, I couldnt able to see the Web Page displayed.

Thanks

1.What do you see then you navigate to the page? An error or nothing?

2.To which user have you assigned these pages? As first step it could be helpful if you assign these pages to yourself. If it works there, it should be a permissions problem.

Hello Marcus,

I am getting Nothing. I assigned to Myself(Admin Role).

When i click on the Role Say Test, I can see only the folder name in the Workset.

Nothing is displayed in the content Area.

Thanks
