I have successfully installed SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) - ABAP Trial Version, having problem in client copy I get this error msg "cannot open log:
ali123\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000018.NSP.

Created a client using SCC4, login into traget client using SAP* user and when I run Client copy using SCCL i get this error "cannot open log:
ali123\sapmnt\trans\log\CC000018.NSP.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Zack,

Check whether
ali123\sapmnt\trans\log\ is accessible.

I can't find the \sapmnt folder.

In that case check whether folders are shared properly.

Hi,

I suggest that you check some topics on Transport management system, you can find those topics on help.sap.com

Defining sapmnt should be done at both the OS and the SAP Level.

At the OS level:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301281/en-us

Here is how you do it at the SAP Level:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/3d/ad5dbf4ebc11d182bf0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm

Hope that helps.

Hello Zack,

Go to My computer. Right click. Then select properties>Advanced>Environment variables. Here add sapmnt as environment variable under system variables category.

Hi Zack,

I installed SAP Netweaver 7.1 composition environment on my XP desktop. Though it didn't create a /sapmnt share, I had to manually create it and map it to c:\user\sap directory.

The installation succeeds and I get the webpage when I visit http://localhost:50200.

But in SAP Netweaver developer studio, when I select Windows->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine -> SAP J2EE Engine is installed on local host -> BROWSE an empty window appears and nothing to select.

Can you guide me how to go about identifying the local H2EE engine in SAP Netweaver Developer studio.

Am I missing something here.

Will appreciate your expert guidance.
