I have a NW2004sSR1 Portal (SPS13) that connects to our R/3 backend via SSO, supposedly.
I notice on the backend that when a user logs into the portal and executes one of the applications that require data from the backend, I'll see an RFC connection in SM04 from the portal. This RFc connection will remain after the person leaves the portal, and if they happen to log back in and run the application again, it seems reuse the same RFC connection.
All this seems good as far as I can tell...
My question is this:
I've set the logonticket time out to 1hr, and we're considering changing it to something less, like maybe 20 mins or so. Will setting this parameter (in Visual Administrator) clean up these RFC connections on the back end, or do I need to configure something else - like say the configuration mentioned in note 913483, and 809954?
I'm assuming as well that setting the logon ticket lifetime won't just kick a user off after the lifetime length has expired - ie it's based on whether or not the user is active. Can someone confirm this as well for me?
Thanks a bunch!
