4.7 to ECC 6.0 known issues after migration

Hi Experts,

Just want to know if there are known issues/bugs in ECC 6.0 after migration from 4.7? We encounter issues (OSS notes to be applied) while testing in ECC 6.0 but we want to make it another way around. Instead, we want to know all the notes to be applied first (in ECC 6.0 after migration from 4.7) before testing as this eats up a lot of time and causes delay. Is this possible? Can I have your thoughts on post migrate issues?

Points will be awarded! Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As mentioned in earlier responses refer to the Upgrade manual which is available at http://service.sap.com/instguides

That manual consist of lots of standard notes, but there are two mandatory notes which we need to follow. One is Upgrade specific one & the other id DB specfic.

Hope this will help you. do revert if you need more details

Hi,

Advice is to download the relevent guide with regards to your os,db and r3 release and in that go through the relevent notes i adivce you to perform upgrade on sandbox or testbox first and in functional testing you will come to know the errors you are going to come across so you can take care of those in your landscape upgarde.

Hi,

Please go through the OSS note 913971 and 826092. Look for section "Problems After the Upgrade" in this note.

Also, please download the relevent guide depending upon your requirement from below mentioned link and go through the post upgrade phase in the guide.

All the necessary information and note numbers are mentioned in the guide.

That´s the way it works.

We don´t know:

- which "modules" you are using

- if you use industry solutions

- how you implemented those modules

- how your organizational structure looks like

etc. etc. etc

As the previous poster mentioned, the upgrade guide contains a lot of notes - go through all them and check, if they apply to your system. Then upgrade. After the upgrade there is always some delta customizing necessary, the amount of that depends on the functions you use and HOW you use them. Nobody else but you can do that work for you because it is implementation and system dependent.
