I also thought that.But,strange thing I noticed that it does not consider the current load.It works on infinite capacity though the capacities of work centers were relevant for finite schd.
My reqmt. was such that,system should do SOP considering existing load also.
I like to convey it properly, My requirements are as below,
1. In SOP i know how to use RCP but i dont know how we can set to use existing routing for calculating availbale capacity. I have maintained routing, and when i try View-capacity situation-RCP-Show. it gives message no RCP exist. Is there anything we have to do in OPU4?. I want system to consider routing.
2. I have created Rough cut plan for two products P-100 & P-101 in Active version which uses same workcentre WC1. I will first post requirements for P-100 and in this case Avalable capacity was 100hrs out of which i used 70 hrs. remaining is 30hrs. Now i post reqt for P-101 and capacity reqt is 50 Hrs. In this case system should consider there is reqt for 70 hrs for P-100 and hence system should say WC1 has only 30hrs remaining. But here also system says there is 100 hrs available capacity. I want system to consider all capacity consumed by different A00 versions for diffeent material/PG

Yes, if you want to consider the routing prepared by you for RCP then OPU4 make the selection ID for routing in RCP = 01.
Make suer that the WC you are using in routing is having the usage = 009(all task list)

*Just try this oprion, As I know you need to create a product group involving all the products to be considered in that plant, aggregate that product group then conduct RCP with your routing as option 1, so that system will show the capacity requirement as a whole for the product group.*

It is possible, then you need to change the capacity planning settings in IMG for RCP to consider the production order and plan orders, as of now it is considering SOP orders only. I need some time as i did in long time back in 4.0B, I will check and come back if you findout please let me know, I have given you the idea just make a try.
