Dear C4C Experts,
We have created a set of marketing attributes which are specific to a custom Account Role ("Dealer"). Is there a way to assign these marketing attributes automatically to this customer role - or is there a configuration activity to maintain conditions so that marketing attributes are assigned based on these conditions to this specific account role.
Please share your expert opinions and any help is highly appreciated.
Regards,
Siraj
Hello there Siraj
We evaluated the pertinent documentation in our internal repositories regarding this matter. According to the relevant development team,
Marketing Attributes are supported only for 'Individual Customer', 'Contact' and 'Customer'. You should seek our Ideas Place to address this business need. Our key development colleagues will evaluate your request and inform you properly.
A possible workaround is to enter adaptation mode, reach the relevant screen for this business role 'Dealer' and create an extension field of type 'Multi value list', adding your marketing attributes on it.
We hope this helps your possible next steps. Have a nice week ahead Siraj!

Hi Fabio,
I think you misunderstood my initial question.
"Dealer" is a custom customer role - Basically these are customers only in the system but with a different "Account Role". So I am able to assign marketing attributes to this custom account role too...
But my request is - whether it is possible to assign a specific marketing attribute set by default to this account role. All customers with the role type "Dealer" should have the marketing attribute set (lets say for example - Dealer Attributes) assigned automatically.
I can use the default flag available in the marketing attributes - but then it will be assigned to all the new customers created in the system irrelevant of the customer role type. I want the set of attributes assigned automatically only to one specific customer role type.
I hope the business requirement is clear now.

Siraj
Hello Siraj,
This Attributes cannot be assigned at Account role, it can be assigned at a person/contact level or Account/Individual level.
You can select the Person-Relevant checkbox to make the attributes visible in the Attributes tab of the Contacts work center view. You can also select the Organization-Relevant checkbox to make them visible in that tab on the Accounts or Individual Customers work center views.
So there is no configuration where you can default it at role level.
I hope it clarifies your query.
