Language supplementation after ECC upgrade

We have recently upgraded one of our SAP systems from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. After we upgraded, our Finnish users saw that some of their error messages were not in the Finnish language but instead now showing up in German. My question is whether this is normal after an upgrade and if I need to run language supplementation after upgrading to ECC 6.0. I looked thru a lot of the upgrade documentation and I did not see a requirement to run language supplementation as a post upgrade step. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Best regards,

Russ,

While upgrading did you choose "Upgrade & Unicode at the same time"?

Hi.

You should supplement your language in the following cases:

· After you have installed an SAP system that contains languages other than English and German;

· After you have upgraded an SAP system that contains languages other than English and German;

· After you have imported Support Packages into a system that contains languages other than English and German.

Remember that you must supplement all languages that exist in the system, except English and German.

For additional information about language supplementation, see SAP Notes 596982 and 315375.

You have to delete the language load according to note 110910

- delete the language load with report RSLANG20

- reset buffer with /$CUA and /$DYN in the OK-code
