4.7 to XI to 4.6C (Points will be awarded)

Dear Guys

I have three systems 4.7 , XI , 4.6C, all are installed on three different machines.

We want to use RFC to send data from 4.7 to XI and another RFC to send data from XI to 4.6C.

In simple we have different version of SAP running on different machines and want to send any data from one system to another using XI.

Can any one give step by step detail or documentation to complete above scenario.

Points will be awarded.

Thanks

    Hi,

    It is an asynchronous scenario. Different versions of SAP don't matter. You have to create on both business systems remote enabled function modules with the same interface (without exporting parameters). In XI you need to import both RFMs, do simple 1-1 mapping and configure the scenario.

    This weblog should help you: [Send RFC to SAP XI – Asynchronous|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/5398] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];

    Hi,

    Version matters only for proxy. You should have WAS 6.40 or greater to use proxy.

    Have a look on these scenarios:

    File to RFC

    File to File thro’ RFC using BMP:

    Note: Before starting to work with proxy, you need to activate some setting in R/3 side. See the below mentioned blog "How to Activate Proxy".
