Transfer order

Hi

can any one let me know what is the link between a sale order and the transfer order when it is created and what is the exact role of it please could you explain..

of course in simple word i will tell my requirement i have to create a TO for the delivery which throws an error saying item pick is not defined

Rather than explaining the solution it will be helpful if specify the relation and then why it happened and what should be done for solving

hi,

for your material you have activated Ware house. In such case the picking is done at the ware house level.

for this we create a transfer order with LT03.

and finally we confirm it with LT12. then we can go to VL02n and do the packing and PGI.

there is no direct relation from sales order to TO. we can do deliveries and pgi with or without Warehouse.

hi,

There is a huge difference between the sales order and Transfer order. sales order is an agreemnt to customer to sell so and so products, so and so price, delivering on the required date.

where as the transfer order is a order for the warehouse mgt to pick the specified qty. it will come only if the warehouse mgt is active only. t-code LT03. for confirmation LT12. once it is get confirmed then only we can do the goods issue.
