Selection criteria for open posts in general ledger

Hi Experts,

Currently I came into a problem with 0FI_GL_40 extractor in our SAP BW system where we are trying to pull the data from ERP.
As per the documentation the extractor provides the line items in General Ledger Accounting from tables BKPF, BSEG, FAGLFLEXA, .BSIS, BSAS, BSID, BSAD; BSIK, BSAK, FAGLBSIS, FAGLBSAS and VBSEGS.

Since the extractor doesn`t have a standard delta mechanism we tried to build our own on the assumption, that all posts which have AUGDT field filled with date are closed and won`t be changed anymore (they only need to be pulled from ERP to BW once).

The problem is that it seems there are certain posts for which our assumption is not correct, cause for some of them the AUGDT has nothing to do with the fact, that the post is closed and won`t be edited in the future.
From what I understood in ERP there is a flag which indicates if the post closure is related to AUGDT. But how to distinguish among the posts where the AUGDT is not relevant between those which can still be edited and those which are definitely closed?

Is there any other selection criteria, which will restrict the amount of posts only to the ones where there is still a possible change?
