I'm trying to import a schema export in HANA using the following command...

import "<SCHEMANAME>"."*" as binary from '<exportpath>' with ignore existing threads 10 rename schema "<SCHEMANAME>" TO "<NEWSCHEMANAME";

but it's failing with the following error...

Could not execute 'import " "."*" as binary from ...' in 5:10.902 minutes . SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: table import failed: [30111] Import failed (could not execute create statement);object=_SYS_AFL:PAL_TRIPLE_SMOOTHen,insufficient privilege: Not authorized at /sapmnt/ld7272/a/HDB/jenkins_prod/workspace/HANA__FA_CO_LIN64GCC48HAPPY_rel_fa~hana1sp12/s/ptime/query/checker/

The export is from a slightly lower version (122.03) of HANA I believe, but I thought I should be OK as long as I'm on a newer version (122.05)

This says I shouldn't need access to _SYS_AFL

I tried granting the roles but it didn't help

Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Restart your SAP HANA Server and try again.

I faced the similar issue during this import as well.

Make sure the number of threads indicated refers to the max number of cores you have.
