Enhance Account Search in C4C

I am pretty new to Cloud Studio and Cloud SDK. I would like to know is it possible to enhance the standard C4C Account Search functionality. And how do I do that?

I have seen in repository explorer that there are business objects on the name of "BusinessPartner" and also "Customer". I am guessing I will have to enhance the BO "Customer".

But how can I enhance this standard search functionality?

Enhancement in the sense,are you adding a new Z-field in the advance search option?If this is what your are looking for then try the below document
