Auto creation of Change reuest from Inbound Replication from ECC via Idocs

Hi Experts,

We have configured the DRF to replicate the BPs via Idoc to the Operational ECC.

Also in the Operational ECC we have configured the

Partner profile etc. to replicate the BPs to MDG.

However from Operational ECC we want the BPs to be replicated in MDG as a Change Request instead of getting saved directly in tables.

Can we replicate the BPs to MDG from ECC in the form of Change request in staging area? We are using Idocs for the replocation mechanism.

Appreciate a quick response.

Thanks

Avik

    hello

this can be achieved through two solutions .,

    1. Governance API / Convenience Governance API interfaces .

    2. If it is an inbound IDOC we have to create a inbound IDOC function module with the above API interfaces and IDOC success status with a Change request.

As per Best practice, MDG is responsible to maintain master data and not allowed to maintain master data in ECC. Maintaining data in ECC will lead data inconsistent without governance.

In worst case you have to maintain data in both system. In this case you have to do data harmonization with below options.

    1. Consolidation

    2. DIF or Webservice

    3. MDG API this will take more effort since you need take care end to end

    4. Data service

    Hi Avik,

the "out-of-the-box" solution is called "Client Maintenance" (check the MDG help for details) and requires using the BP Web Service. We don't support IDoc Inbound in MDG (besides the DIF / initial load option for CREMDM or DEBMDM).

    Best regards
