Combine Multiple Results into One Crystal Reports 2008

We have a report that displays work centre run time required vs. run time issued to see how much of a particular task has been completed per job.

In doing so, it is possible to have the same work centre listed twice for one job.

What I would like to do is combine work centre amounts where it appears more than once to give a total for this work centre rather than listing it multiple times.

I'm not great with CR so this is where I have hit a wall and would love some assistance. I've had a search around and the concatenate function is the only thing I can find. I am not sure that this is what I need though or how exactly to use this.

My report looks like this in Crystal:

So essentially, for the example above, the MILL-C work centre would be combined into one and would only appear once per job.

Let me know if you need any additional information.

Please help! (Step by step instructions with reasoning would be great so I can learn from this).

Thanks so much in advance!!! 🙂

Hi Harmony,

1. Go to the Group Expert and Insert a Group on the Work Center field. If it already exists, skip this step.

2. Right-click the Runtime required field on the Details Section and click 'Insert Summary'. Choose 'Sum' as the Summary Operation and place it on the Group Footer (of Work Center).

3. Repeat step 2 for Runtime issued field.

4. You may also have to insert summaries for the other fields.

5. Suppress the Details Section.
