Hi,

the error "db_activate failed with rc = 306" tells me that there's a problem during the initialization of the MaxDB instance.

I suggest to check the dbm.prt, knldiag and knldiag.err in the rundirectory of your MaxDB instance for errors during the db_activate command.

You can find out the location of your Rundirectory by issueing 'xinstinfo <DBSID>' from the commandline

Regards,

Roland

Please check SAP note 967742: password for db user IDs (control, superdba) should not contain '@' symbol.

Also, if you have a firewall installed, please check whether ports needed to communicate with Maxdb are opened:

Please award points if helpful
