IP - Char Relationship using 0CUSTOMER?

All, is it possible to create a characteristic relationship using 0CUSTOMER or one of its reference InfoObjects (such as 0PAYER or 0SOLD_TO)?

I've tried to create a DSO characteristic relationship with it and it doesn't allow me to select 0PAYER as a "Source Characteristic". This only happens with these 0CUSTOMER objects. Does anyone know why?

You can create such chars relationships if the chars are maintained as attributes of another chars.

In your case, you can derive Payer from customer. The system response is right.

Does that mean if I use 0PAYER as a regular infoobject on my cube and in the key of my DSO I will be unable to create a characteristic relationship on it?

Why is that?
