Best practices for integration of IoT Service CF with third-party cloud

Hi community,

let's assume I want to connect a third-party (non-SAP) cloud application with IoT Service CF. The third-party application provides a RESTful API to fetch sensor data, but is not able to actively push data towards IoT Service Gateway Edge or IoT Service Gateway Cloud.

Are there any best practices available regarding how to get the sensor data into IoT Service CF?
