close period for material master

Hi,

I wanted to post a GR. I get this Error "Posting only in periods 2008/01 and 2007/12 in company code 2000".

I must shift the period with MMPV

-which period and which Fiscal year I have to give.

As per your error you are in right period so if you are entering the date within dec or Jan then you will not get error but if you are entering the posting date out of this then u will see error.

As per me your period is correct

but if you want to close the current period then just enter the today's date.

but if you want to open particular period then you have to colse one by one period.

Please Check which period is Current Period for your company Through TCode MMRV

and Change this period up to This Month ie January Through TCode MMPV

and also Please Check your Posting date as you are saying the January period is open give the Posting period in between 2008/01 and 2007/12 dates

I can't believe it. I've checked (MMRV) the current period (01/2008). and the posting date is 08.2008.

what is the problem.

With MMPV I give the Period 01 and year 2008, I get a mistake.

then issue is on fi module side

check out the fiscal year variant

whether the posting period is open on fi module side

path is

img-fi-fi global setting---document -posting--posting perid open /close

I thunk MM period is open but FI period is not open,...just do the following alonge with FI team

In OB52

check for conmpany code = variant = 2000 for all account type which period is maintained...I think period 1 to 12 yeriod 2007 is maintained...just change it to 1 to 12 and year 2008...

then it will work

take assistance of FI team as thye should inform you which period should be kept open
