Report of values per item in the past

Using SBO2005A PL22 and my customer has valuated his stock at the end of the year without taking the caution notes into consideration (see below) as described in the document ‘Tips for Year End Closing’.

The valuation of inventory differences as described above only applies when you perform the inventory counting close to the cut-off date, before transactions for the new fiscal year have been entered.

Therefore, we recommend that you save these item costs in a price list before you enter new transactions. Then, the evaluation basis for the posting of inventory differences has to be this price list.

The Update Quantities feature will update the quantities to the backdated date only! The prices used for valuation are not updated and always show the prices as of the current date when you evaluate by item costs. In order to evaluate by item prices valid for a previous cut-off date, you must use a price list as described above.

They haven’t printed an overview of the values of stock before valuating. Now he needs this report. Is there an easy way to provide this information or an existing report that can display this?

Thanks in advance,

Chief

    The history information of Inventory movement is stored in OINM table. You may try to look into this table.

      As I said earlier you could use the OINM table to query for the data you are looking for. I have given a sample query for you to get started

      SELECT TOP 1 T0.[ItemCode\] AS 'Item No.', T0.[Balance\] AS 'Stock Balance', T0.[CalcPrice\] AS 'Calculated Price', T0.[DocDate\] AS 'Posting Date' FROM [dbo\].[OINM\] T0

      WHERE T0.ItemCode = '[%0\]' AND T0.[DocDate\] <= '[%1\]'

      ORDER BY T0.TransNum DESC

    Hello Suda,

    I'm not completely sure how the query is build up, but I do think it's close.

    Only thing is that it needs to show every item, not just the one. And taking out the select specified item code will only show one line, not all.

    How can I incorporate this into the query?

    Thanks,

    Petronella
