Hello,

There is no definitive answser to your question about which one is more effective and useful.

It depends from the SAP software used and obviously if it is single stack (abap or java) or dual stack (abap and java).

And it depends also of the SAP customer : do theay have skilled abap programmers or java programmers ?

For easyness, it depends from your background : abap or java ?

Olivier

Hi Ümit,

first of all, ABAP is part of NetWeaver. NetWeaver is a platform where ABAP is one of the available programming languages/programming platforms respectively.

Categories such as "Useful" and "easy" are really depending on the perspective that you're using. If you know one of the languages (ABAP or Java usually) already it will obviously be easier for you to use that one. And depending on what you want to do thise could change on the long end.

Thanks Olivier and Benny,

As I understand they have same abilities, just depending on my own knowledge of ABAP and Java.

Can you show me some links where can I find good tutorials and examples for dynpro, deeply and clearly explained...

Hi,

We have experience both with java and abap web dynpro. As a rule of thumb we suggest to our clients to use WD4Abap if

1) The client mainly has abap knowledge or

2) The web dynpro client is going to mostly to interact with an abap backend.

in the same way we recommend the java version if

1) They mainly have java knowledge

2) The web dynpro will interact with SAP NP Portal (i.e. knowledge warehouse, UME and so on).

For a starting point the tutorials in the Netweaver Developer Studio are excellent.
