Hi
We want to change the exchange rates in the system. how the same can be done?
Rahul
In SAP, exchange rates are maintained on the basis of exchange rate types.
By default SAP determines the exchange for exchange rate type M (Average of buying and selling rates). In case, no exchange rate type is assigned to the document type, the system would default the most recent exchange rate maintained for exchange rate type M.
We can check the exchange rate type assigned to each document type here:
IMG>Financial Accounting(New)>Financial Accounting Global Settings(New)>Document>Document Types>Define
Document Types for Entry View
The t code for the same is OBA7.
The exchange rates are maintained using T Code OB08. The path for the same is
IMG>SAP Net Weaver>General Settings> Currencies>Enter Exchange Rates
The user needs to maintain the exchange rates for all the exchange rate types to be used by SAP. The exchange rate have to be quoted in indirect quote and direct quote based on requirement.
Please assign points if the same is useful to you
