Report Painter

Hello Experts,

I have a problem with the report painter.

I have a Z report that reports detail costs (both plan and actual) of a cost center. For a particular "miscellaneous income" element under the category "Misc Oper Income" its now showing up its line items in the cost center report. But I can see those line items in T.code KSBP for plan line items in a cost center. I dont know what went wrong and I am a novice in report painter.

Help in this regard will be rewarded.

please also check the values in standard report 1sip-001. On cost centers revenues are only updated with value type 11.

Check the definition of the report in GRR3 display. Drill down what characteristics that influence cost element. Ensure that while running the report you are not feeding any values for cost element or the group, that might exclude the revenue cost element your are looking for.

You must know the library and the report name to check.

Sridhar,

I know the report name , report group and report library and I am doing some R&D on GRR2/3 because I dont know anything on report painter.

Can you tell me how to see the report definition in GRR3 and how to see the any characteristics that influences cost element.

Goto GRR2/3. Look for your library. Open up your library folder, Find your report. Right click and choose change.

Three elements bring the value in the report, a) Row b) Column and c) General Data Selection (GDS).

Double click on row and column to find out what has gone into it. For GDS, Choose Edit-> GDS.

I checked the GDS and the report is selected based on fiscal year and cost center.

Coming to rows, this particular revenue element comes under the row "Misc Oper Income" and I double clicked that to see that it has GL account numbers range that has our problem revenue element.

Coming to columns, plan and actual, we have

record type,

record type,

version

period

as selected characteristics.

For actual, it has following values

record type -- 0 Actual

record type -- 2 Actual assessment/distribution

version -- 1

period -- it has current period with th e variable on/off flag checked.

For plan, it has following values

record type -- 1 Plan

record type -- 3 Planned assessment/distribution

version -- 0

period -- it has current period with th e variable on/off flag checked.

Hi Sriram,

Please check for the Cost Center whether actual line items are posted. Probably on plan data is posted.

Secondly check whether the cost element is included for Actuals column.

I have checked for the actual line items for this cost center (KSB1) and it has actual data. There is no actual line item for this revenue element.

I didnt understand your 2nd point. Can you elaborate 2nd point and let me know how to do that?
