Right Instance on SAP CAL - ABAP Development on HANA

Hi,

Can someone help me in choosing the right instance for a SAP ABAP developer who wants to start learning SAP ABAP development for SAP HANA? I currently work on SAP ECC and am looking for an ECC instance which run on HANA with N/W 7.4 or greater.

In SAP CAL, I see many different instance w.r.t HANA. As a developer which is the right instance? Also, do these instances come with data loaded in the HANA db?

Any help in this regard will be very helpful.
