Hi SAP Experts,

I cannot find the cause of variance in production order. Here are the details:

Parent Item - using FIFO, issue type is Manual

Child Item - some using FIFO and some using Moving Average, issue type is Manual

The Planned Quantity and Completed Quantity are the same. Planned Quantity and Issued Quantity are also the same. The Actual Component Cost is greater than Actual Product Cost when I reported for Completion. May I know why is this so? Thank you!

Best regards,

Is it possible that receipt from production was made before issuing components? Maybe some other document was entered in between that changed the value of components (for example, if you entered AP invoice for a component using MAP, item cost would immediately change).

This would cause component costs to be grater than product value.
