    Hi Jonathan,

SAP Business One is a database driven application, and the database by default automatically uses its own in-memory capabilities.

Just install 12 GB more RAM in your server than the size of your company database, and MS SQL will load the whole thing into memory. You may also take a look at this article.

The difference with HANA is simply that the B1 HANA version gets some extra (mostly reporting) functionality out of the box. Otherwise there is little difference where in-memory functionality is concerned.

    Regards,

    Johan

    • Hi Jonathan,

My article should answer most questions, but to the point, simply put, yes ssd disks will have a positive effect, although more RAM will have a significantly larger positive impact for significantly less money.

The question is whether the B1 version in question supports either MS SQL version. But 2014 is obviously going to have improved in-memory capabilities compared to 2012. I can't say how much though.

      Regards,

      Johan
