What is the future of SAP Functional Consultant?

Can anyone guide me regarding the future of SAP Functional consultants in the wake of impending technologies such as eSOA, Netweaver?

How these new technologies will change dynamics of job market for functional consultants especially MM and SD?

What new skills will be required by functional consultants?

The New technologies are based on base & the base is the core modules like FI, SD, MM, PP & so on. Even with new technologies coming in, it ia a welcome & we should aim at upgrading ourselves to new technologies for our personal growth.

Future of SAP Functional Consultant is going to remain safe & we should not worry about the same.

Future of SAP Will Remain Same as of what we have now. Coz Somany Companies Converting To SAP Hugely. And the Core Modules like MM,SD,FI. Will have their Own Significance and will Have the Same Impact what we have now.

SO Dont Worry About New Technologies. New Technologies will Helps to the Companies to get the Best From Technical Prospective also Helps to the Functional.

I Dont Think These New technologies Will Change the Functional Market.

As a Consultant it is better to have knowledge and expert in multiple modules. Nowadays Companies are hireing Multi Specal Functional Consultants.

SO Dont Worry About The Things.

Currently I am pursuing my SD Certification, and was bit worried as how these new technologies will affect SD Functional market, as there are already lots of guys in SD & MM.

Can you tell me regarding technofunctional role? How to be a technofunctioanl consultant in SD and their marketability?

Hello,

Techno functional consultants are always in demand, but for the same you should learn ABAP, it is not as easy. If you have good programming skills, then you can think for that. Otherwise you can think for multi functional expert.

Try to learn one more module, as you are alreadry pursuing Sales ad Distribution, CRM / MM will be added advantage.
