Developing webdynpro java apps using NWDS for MI 7.1

Hi,

I want to develop mobile webdynpro applications for MI7.1.

I Downloaded CE developer studio (NWDS) from service market place:

'Support Packages and Patches-> SAP NetWeaver-> SAP NETWEAVER-> SAP NETWEAVER MOBILE 7.1

->NW CE DEVELOPER STUDIO 7.05'

(I didnt find NWDS under 'SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1')

Now the problem is i am trying to install and configure mobile plugins as described in 'http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/17a78cd8000064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm'

under 'Installing Mobile-Specific Software Units -> Installing Mobile Plug-Ins in the IDE'

But inspite of it i am not getting any perspective for laptop niether for PDA. Also there is no 'mobile' node in window -> preferences in NWDS. Plz help. Is it that the IDE version is not correct or there is some work around for installing mobile plugins. I want to develop apps for both laptop as well as PDAs.

Hello Vinay,

Could you please try the following instructions:

1. Download the NetWeaver Mobile Client & Plugins:

http://service.sap.com/swdc> > Download > Support Packages and Patches > Entry by Application Group > SAP NetWeaver > SAP NETWEAVER > SAP NETWEAVER MOBILE 7.1 > NW MOBILE CLIENT SETUP 7.10 > Win32

2.. Download and install the NWDS for CE:

You will require an S-User for this, to request an S-User got to https://portal.wdf.sap.corp/go/s-user

For installation of CE IDE, read the index page or the complete installation guide(You'll only need the NWDS):
