If several purchasing organizations procure for a certain plant, you can define one of them as the standard purchasing organization for the transactions "pipeline procurement", "consignment" and "stock transfers".

You can assign several purchasing organizations to one reference purchasing organization, but each individual purchasing organization should be assigned to just one reference purchasing organization.

    Hi

    Central PO:-

Central PO means it is thecenter of your all PO.

It has only two conditions maintained for this PO

Only price and discount. No freight charge or any other conditions are maintained that are differs from state to state.

It is one type of reference PO that will gives you informations for procurement of material on be half of gross price and discount if you have several PO all over hte country.

    Standard PO:-

If several purchasing organizations procure for a certain plant, you can define one of them as the standard purchasing organization for the transactions "pipeline procurement", "consignment" and "stock transfers".

In source determination for stock transfers and consignment, the system automatically utilizes this standard purchasing organization. In the case of goods issues of pipeline materials, the purchasing info records of the standard purchasing organization are read.

    Hope this will help you.

    reward if it helps

The goods can be purchsed locally or centrally. If centrally the organization is for two or more plants. If locally the organizatio is plant-specific.

For standard PO that means PO will go throught standard purchsing flow by PO -> GR -> IV -> (FI). If non-standard one, for an example, FO, you don't need GR.

    Dear Vineeth,

Please find explaination & application of both terms in simple manner

    A) Reference Purchase Organization( Also called as Central Pur Org.)

1)Used to map cross purchasing organization procurement transaction

    2) Possible to use other purchasing organization to use conditions of this Purchase Organization

    3) Allow to access contract

    4) In customizing you can configure which data ( i.e. contract or conditions ) a purchasing organization can access

    5) a multilevel reference relationship is not possible

    6) Purchasing Info record for central Purchasing organization must exist.

    7) This is normally at client level.

    B) Standard Purchase Organization:

    1) If a plant is having more than one purchasing organization , one of the purchasing organization is designated as standard Purchase Organization.

2)It is used for Transaction of pipeline material , Consignment material or stock transfer orders.

    3) In source determination system automatically pulls this Purchase Organization

    4) For goods issue Purchasing Info record of standard Purchase Organization is used.

    5) Standard Purchase Organization info record is used for auto PO generation during GR

    Reward if useful,

      Dear Vivek,

I am still not clear regarding Central PO &Reference PO?

As per my knowledge Central PO is at Plant level & Reference PO is at Company Code level. Reference PO is used for contracts.

Can you please let me know exact diff between REGULAR PO, CENTRAL PO, REFERENCE PO WITH EXAMPLES?

Thanks for the help being done.

      Vineeth.
