Help.

I have looked for the solution in SDN, and hasn't been answer to satisfaction and i have tried the suggestions and still get the same message.

This error takes place when trying to unhide fields that were added to a Data Source via and append structure. This structure has fields that need to have reference in this case currency.

I have created a reference within the structure as Anil Kumar suggested but it doesn't do anything. Has anyone had this problem and solve it.. please share detail information ..

Hi Alfonso,

I think this error is for the same reason you mentioned. After you create a currency field in the extract structure, did you provide this custom field from the extract structure as the reference to the amount field? If you miss this step, you will get this error. Hope I made my point clear.

I resolved this issue:

Below are the reasons i was getting this error:

I was not having the unit i was using for a currency in the extract structure.

Second, i placed the unit below the actual currency in the extract structure which was giving the error.

Then i changed the sequence and it worked. I don't know why but that is how it worked for me.

Hi Friends,

I also gone through the same error. This is the way i solved it.

I was enhancing DataSource with amount field. While appending structure we give field and component type. If it is amount or quantity field we have to add currency and unit field respectively.

But while adding reference field in append structure we have to provide its reference field and reference table.

For Eg. :-

Component Component Type Data Type reference table reference field Short Description

DMBTR DMBTR CURR T001 WAERS Amount in Local Currency

WAERS KLIBT CURR T014 WAERS Credit Control Amount

Now after save and activate u can go to datasource and can unhide enhanced fields.

I am also facing a same issue while adding "Invoiced Quantity" & "Document Currency" in the Append Structure.

As I have properly declared the Fields in the Append Structure and also I have assigned reference Field & reference Table in the below format:

ZZFKIMG FKIMG QUAN VBRP VRKME Actual Invoiced Quantity

ZZWAVWR WAVWR CURR VBRK WAERK Cost in Document Currency

But the issue begin same. I am not able to unhidden the respective fields.

Again same error is occurring:

"The OLTP source still has errors

Message no. R8417"

Please suggest me for the same.

U must unhide the two fiels VRKME and WAERK

the datasource lack of unit and currency field,so this error appeared.

The issue is solved ...

there is not enough to have the currency or unit of measurement in the append. You have to unhide it to in the structure in order that the oltp error message disapear

Can you please explain the exact steps and the exact reason how did you get rid of this. I am facing exactly the same error as you are and I am not been able to resolve it since 3 days now, trying almost every different combination.

I am also facing the same problem but i have solved now.

Just unhide the field in the structure which you want after adding the field in the append structure and if this field have any reference then unhide that field also.

Thank you for your answer.

Yes I referenced the field amounts in my append structure to the currency one created zzwaers, under the tab currency/ quantity fields on the reference table I used the structure name and on the reference field the above mentioned one.

The issue should be something else… what am I missing?
