History of all the installations for a particular equipment

Hello,

How to get the installations with history (with dateFrom dateTo) for a particular equipment.

I have found one thread that finds the data the reverse way:

Can anyone please help to help for the following points....

does the reverse way gives the correct data? I am doubtful because I don't know how the LOGIKNR in the equipment tables work

Which dates (for the Installation) can we use to decide the validity range? (movein, moveout?)

Thanks in advance.

I think the data you are looking for is in the tables EASTL and EGERH.

Thanks Srinivas,

But can you help me finding out more about the logiknr?

are you sure the view will give me the information I am looking for?

You don't have to use the view, in EGERH you have both the logical device number as well as the equipment number.

Thanks, But I was looking if the logiknr can be safely used here.

Sorry if the question is silly, I am new to this area.

I need to know if a logiknr is assigned to one and only one eqnr, and also vice versa.

Please let me know if I am missing here something.

LOGIKNR is assigned to only currently installed devices (see entries in EGERH, you will understand). So if you are looking at a record in EGERH and if the field BIS is in future, that is the record that will have the LOGIKNR. All the older records will not have that link. A device is always an equipment and LOGIKNR is always assigned to only installed devices. All other devices do not get that number. Only when you install a device, you will have information like device install date, device location etc. So it is relevant in the other case where device location was also needed.

There is a possibility for more than one equipment being assigned to one LOGIKNR but there is always only one installed (BIS is equal to or greater than today) LOGIKNR.

At some rare places I am seeing the logiknr assigned to different equipments at different date intervals.

Also some places, I am seeing equipments having different logiknr at different date intervals.

Seems the data could be retrieved but there is a chance that assignment is not correct for the history records.

Thanks.

If you look closely, I think all of them refer to the same device location.
