Extracting data from structures

Hey Experts,

We tried to set up a business content infocube along with it's datasource, 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL. Particularily for this datasource we extended it in R/3 to get additional fields that were already defined, they just needed to be activated.

Even though this the level of detail was not as required since the extractor yields at operation level and we need to go as low as notification level for the production orders.

The next step we were thinking was to make a generic extractor, but we found that our data is referenced in structures rather than tables, these structures are: IOCONF, IOOPER and IOHEADER. Thru SE11 I tried to identifity the tables and fields behind these structures in order to make a view or something more simple to make the generic extractor but I could not get to the definition of some fields of the structure.

This might sound complicated, but my question would be: What can I do to get the data from these three structures to fill up a table or make up a view in order to create a generic extractor and pass this information to my BW system? Any how to or any guide that can help me? thanks

hi..

your production orders and the other details all sit in some transparent table. in additiona to this, kindly look for some of the functional modules which access this data. you can consult your abaper to get this extract program written so that your required data gets populated in one Z table, upon which you can create your own datasource.

I know this should be your right approach.

take care,

Shakeel.
