Any idea how to get my inventory valuation in FC?

Hi experts,

We are looking any clue how to get the inventory valuation in Foreing currancy or System Currency.

Think about you purchase an item at 10 USD (FC) and the exchange rate of the day is $15 so the valuation of the item is $150 (Local currancy).

Knowing that SAP Business one saved the value only in Local currency the stock keeps valuated $150.

At the end of the month the exchange rate change to $17 per 1USD so we need any kind of query that said that our valuated inventory in Local currancy regarding the new exchange rate is $170.

The challenge is to get all the info of all transacctions that affects the cost of items (including landed cost) as also the items which are on hand only.

With this kind of info we can create later a journal entry.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Hello,

Are you sure this is correct way to evaluate your inventory? It may be neccessary due to your countrys legislation, but according to IAS your inventory value is determined by exchange rate valid on AP invoice posting date. Same goes for landed costs, etc. You do not revaluate your inventory on-hand simply because exchange rate has changed.

However, you might need to revaluate your account payables in foreign currency once a year if those accounts are not paid and reconciled.
