Hi,
Login to ABAP editor then go to menu System->Status.
In that screen in SAP system data tab component version will be displayed, in this field the version is displayed.

Haritha.

hi,
when you open your SAPLogon pad, it will have "SAP Logon Pad <version no.> written there.
Else, right click on the status bar and get the details

Hi,
go to the 'system---->status' from your menu options, it will displays the system status, then choose the 'other kernal info' / shift+F5 button which will displays the versions.
Reward if useful.
Thanks,
Sreeram.

Hi Mahab,
Goto Table CVERS.
Give COMPONENT = SAP_APPL.
Field RELEASE will give you the current version of SAP.
OR
Use FM GET_SYS_COMP_REL, passing language = 'EN'.
Parameter P_RELEASE will give you the release.
Cheers!!

Haritha R, Rolf Schorpion, and Rob Burbank were all correct.
You go to System -> Status.
From there all you need to do is look at the "Component Information" under the "SAP System Data" section shown in the pop up screen.
This question was already asked and answered just a few posts before yours. The link to that one is:

As many have said so far, chose System -> Status on any screen and look at the frame titled 'SAP system data'.
What you do next will vary depending on how recent the system is. If I look at an ECC 6.0 system, the 'Component version' field says 'SAP ECC 6.0'. Job done.
For an earlier release it may say 'SAP R/3 Enterprise' or similar, here you have to click on the button under the field and read the release from the component list to find the SAP_APPL component. Job also done.
Regards,
Nick
